Customer Charge – A monthly charge for meter readings, pipeline maintenance, customer support, and 24-hour emergency services.
Delivery Charge – A charge you pay, based on consumption, to use the company’s pipeline system that distributes natural gas to you.
Rate Class – Customers are grouped into classes depending on current energy supply, consumption, and use of natural gas. See list below.
Commodity Charge – The cost of the natural gas you use. Enbridge Gas New Brunswick may be supplying your gas or you may have signed a contract with a licensed Natural Gas Marketer.
Cubic Meters (m3) or Centicubic Feet (CCF) – Unit used to measure the volume of gas consumed and is displayed on your meter.
GJ – Gigajoules (GJ) is a metric energy measure. Cubic meters (or centicubic feet) are converted to Gigajoules (GJ) for your natural gas bill.
Your Consumption:
Your meter will measure the volume of natural gas delivered to your property. Your current meter reading (or estimate), minus your previous meter reading equals your volume of gas consumed in cubic meters (or centicubic feet) for the current period.
Enbridge Gas New Brunswick will convert the volume consumed into energy consumed using a Gigajoule (GJ) Conversion Factor. This factor represents the average energy content contained in each cubic meter (or centicubic foot) of natural gas. The conversion factor used for each bill will be based on the average daily energy content of natural gas received during the billing period.
Estimations:
If, for any period, a meter fails to register the quantity of gas supplied, then the quantity supplied during the period will be estimated based on the average daily volume registered by the new meter, or on the quantity of gas previously used during a corresponding period in the previous year.

Payment of Your Bill:
You may pay our bill through your financial institution, by pre-authorized payment, or by cheque or cash to Enbridge Gas New Brunswick (440 Wilsey Rd, Suite 201, Fredericton, NB E3B 7G5). Payments must be made no later than the due date shown on your bill. A charge of 1.5% is calculated to the total outstanding balance.
