FAQ’sHere are some answers to frequently asked questions from customers who have already enrolled and customers who have considered enrolling in EGNB’s 2011 – 2012 Fixed Price Program.

What is the fixed price for the 2001 – 2012 season? The price that you will see on your natural gas bill as the “Gas Supply Charge” from November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2012 will be $7.90 per GJ.

Who is eligible to enroll in the Fixed Price Program?Any residential customer is eligible, provided you will be using natural gas in your home on November 1, 2011 and you have chosen EGNB as your natural gas supplier.  If you are currently buying your gas from another marketer, please ask them about any contractual obligations that you may have before trying to enroll in the Fixed Price Program with EGNB.

Is there a fee for enrolling in the Fixed Price Program? No.  EGNB does not charge a fee for changing price plans.  You will continue to receive the same reliable service that you are used to from EGNB with no change in how you receive you monthly bill for natural gas.

Will the fixed price represent the entire amount on my monthly gas bill? No.  This price will only be applied to the “Gas Supply Charge” on your bill. The other two components of your bill (the “Monthly Customer Charge” and “Distribution Charge”) will not be affected by the Fixed Price Program.

Am I also able to sign up for the Equalized Payment Plan if I enroll in the Fixed Price Program?Yes.  The Equalized Payment Plan is available to all residential customers, including anyone enrolled in EGNB’s Fixed Price Program.  If your natural gas is not supplied by EGNB (i.e. you have selected another marketer to supply your natural gas), you should consult them before trying to enroll in either of these programs.

Can I drop out of the Fixed Price Program at any time during November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2012?No.  If you enroll in the Fixed Price Program, you will remain in the program for the entire 12 month period, unless you change addresses.

If I am enrolled in the Fixed Price Program and I move, do I get to keep the rate at my new home?Possibly, yes.  If you plan to, or have sold your home, please contact EGNB as soon as possible to discuss your options at  1-800-994-2762.

What happens to my gas bill after October 31, 2012?Customers in the Fixed Price Program will automatically be placed back on the regular EUG, standard natural gas pricing on November 1, 2012.  EGNB will send you a reminder in August 2012 and advise you of your gas supply options at that time.

If I don’t enroll in the Fixed Price Program what will my Gas Supply Charge price be from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012?The price could increase or decrease as the market price of natural gas fluctuates.  EUG price fluctuations are market driven and it’s difficult for EGNB to predict what those market conditions or prices will be over the next year.
