Customer Rate Classes

Small General Service Residential Electric (Class SGSRE)

• Residential customers who have replaced their primary electric heat and hot water equipment with natural gas equipment, OR
• a newly constructed home built with natural gas equipment for primary heat and hot water.

Small General Service Residential Oil (Class SGSRO)

• Residential customers who replaced their primary heat and hot water non-electric equipment with natural gas equipment, OR
• only use natural gas to fuel appliances OTHER than primary heat. 

• Non-residential customers using less than 400 GJ per year and do not meet the requirements of the residential rates.

• Customers using more than 400 but less than 2,000 GJ per year.

• Customers using more than 2,000 GJ per year with a contract of no less than 6 GJ per day.

• Customers using more than 14,000 GJ per year with a Contract Demand of no less than 40 GJ per day AND
• whose alternate fuel is Light Fuel Oil (#2), Liquid Petroleum Gas, Kerosene or Electricity.

HFO Contract Large General Service (Class HFO-CLGS)

• Large commercial and industrial customers who contract for more than 14,000 GJ per year with a Contract Demand of no less than 40 GJ per day AND
• whose alternate fuel is heavy fuel oil (or other than Light Fuel Oil (#2), Liquid Petroleum Gas, Kerosene or Electricity).

• Customers using less than 2,000 GJ during April to November (Off peak service).

• Customers who contract to use more than 2,000 GJ during April to November (Off peak service) AND
• who enter into a service contract with the Company.

• Customers using use more than 400 GJ per year, who are authorized by the appropriate regulatory agency to sell natural gas.
