Giving Tuesday with Enbridge & Fredericton Community Kitchens
Sometimes we forget that the spending season is also the giving season!
#GivingTuesday is a charitable movement encouraging Canadians to rally around great causes before the holidays. We can tell already that this winter is going to be especially hard, so this Giving Tuesday, November 27, Enbridge is partnering with Fredericton Community Kitchens to help feed the city’s hungry.
November 19-26, staff, customers and the general public can bring donations for the Kitchens to Enbridge reception at 440 Wilsey Rd. All non-perishables are appreciated, but we suggest:
• Canned goods
• Dry pasta & rice
• 100% juice (no boxes)
• Tea & coffee
• Spices & soup bases
• Cereal & powdered milk
• Sauces, condiments and spreads
• Fruit, pudding and apple sauce cups
• Laundry detergent
• Ziploc and brown paper bags
If item donations feel like a hassle, we also encourage cash or cheques made out to Fredericton Community Kitchens. Here’s a glimpse of what your donation can buy:
$20 – a six month supply of plastic cutlery
$25 – a two month supply of bleach
$30 – a two month hair net supply
$50 – a week supply of JHS containers, or a month supply of garbage bags
$60 – a month supply of paper towels, or a two month supply of floor cleaner
$65 – a month supply of dinner napkins
$120 – a two month supply of vinyl gloves
$170 – a month and a half supply of industrial dish detergent
On Giving Tuesday, Enbridge will match the dollar value of all donations, deliver those donations, and work a volunteer lunch service shift!
Join us in feeding Fredericton's hungry this Giving Tuesday!
