Atlantic Dance Festival Danse Atlantique
August 10-18

Films, performances, workshops, concerts and more – free and ticketed events for people of all ages. This year’s festival theme is A Tide of Movement, and includes 20 different activities all over the city, but highlights three outdoor events around the Petitcodiac River.

Downtown Dances Dance Day
August 23

Citizens from local businesses and organizations collaborate with professional artists in order to create and perform dances on sidewalks, storefronts and gathering spaces. Downtown Dances is designed to celebrate the stories and spirit of local businesses, employees and the community while encouraging healthy active citizens. Main Street will be blocked off for the event! The walk ends in the beautiful Riverfront Park with a light lunch.

Ability NB Wheelchair Challenge
September 8

This relay brings people together of all abilities, for a fun-filled family day, to support the programs and services of Ability New Brunswick! All of the money raised stays locally. In addition to raising funds the Wheelchair Challenge gives the general public an opportunity to develop a better awareness of mobility disability and wheelchair usage.

Adam Washburn on the Market Square Boardwalk Stage
September 13-October 25

Thursdays in September and October, Adam Washburn entertains audiences on the Boardwalk. Washburn has performed with maritime artists Matt Minglewood, Christina Martin and Gypsophilia. Adam has performed on the Saint John Harbour Station mainstage, joined as a member of the band “ The Playdates” for their Canadian tour and taken home three Saint John Music Awards.
