15th Annual Christmas Cover Shows for Greener Village Fredericton Food Bank
The Capital Complex continues its long-running fundraiser for Greener Village Fredericton Food Bank. Local artists masquerade as icons like Lady Gaga, Coldplay and The Police, all in the name of ending hunger in the city! Cover is $12 or $10 with a non-perishable food item. First Annual Soupfest for United Way
United Way of Central New Brunswick has partnered with restaurants from across Fredericton to host the first annual Soupfest Event! On Thursday, January 31st at the Multicultural Association of Fredericton Headquarters, you'll have one hour to taste soups from up to 20 local restaurants. Stay tuned as they announce participating restaurants! Guests will rank your top 3 favourite soups and United Way will announce the top three soups on their social media and website following the event and present each restaurant with a trophy to proudly display in their restaurant. Symphony New Brunswick: Messiah
Michael Newnham returns as guest conductor to lead SNB and the Louisbourg Choir in everyone’s favourite Christmas treat: Handel’s Messiah. New Year's Day at the Avenir Centre
Bring your family down to the Avenir Centre and start 2019 on the right foot! Resolution Run (registration required; runningroom.com), Mayor's levee, indoor walking and various activities, and public skating with music inside the Avenir Centre or on the Ian Fowler Oval (public skating rules apply). Saint John hometown favourites Tomato Tomato return to the Imperial stage for a new, holiday tradition of music, friends, and fun. The Tomatoes will be joined by some special guests!

Market Square and ROCK 88.9 present the 2019 Market Square New Year’s Eve FREE Celebration. Billed as the largest party on the east coast, featuring food and drink from Saint John Ale House, Grannan's Seafood, McGill's, Social Bar Steakhouse, Lemongrass Thai Fare, Toro Taco, Barred Rock Chicken & Tim Hortons. Indoor including Bernard the Magician, balloon sculpting, crafts & activities and face painting. Boardwalk entertainment hosted in partnership with ROCK 88.9 includes Math Class, Butcher, Jamie Comeau & The Crooked Teeth, Les Hôtesses d'Hilaire and Four Front Men - One Band and The Transcanada Highwaymen, all before a midnight fireworks show. Ice sculptures, light show, Sea Dogs party favour giveaways, ice bars and more.

Chinese New Year Gala
Join the Chinese Cultural Association of Saint John and the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation at the Imperial Theatre as they celebrate the year of the Pig! Enjoy the lively cultural performances featuring traditional and contemporary instruments, dances, vocal music and Chinese Opera.
