10,000th attached customer milestone
FREDERICTON, November 23, 2009 - Enbridge Gas New Brunswick has reached an important milestone by recently attaching its 10,000th customer to natural gas.
The 10,000th customer, the historic Black House on the Mount Allison University campus in Sackville, New Brunswick, marks a highlight for the regulated natural gas company in New Brunswick.
“The fact that our 10,000th customer is in our newest community served, Sackville, reflects the growth and opportunities that have been made available to New Brunswickers,” says Dave Charleson, General Manager of Enbridge Gas New Brunswick. “By providing nine communities in southern New Brunswick with access to natural gas, 10,000 homes and businesses are now benefiting from a smart energy solution.”
While reaching 10,000 customers is a significant achievement for the company, Enbridge Gas New Brunswick remains focused on continuing to grow the number of customers it serves in a cost-effective manner.
“Continued growth is an important part of building a sustainable natural gas industry in New Brunswick,” said Charleson. “Milestones like this demonstrate that natural gas is here to stay in New Brunswick as a clean and cost-effective energy solution.”
