Enbridge Gas New Brunswick Thanks Fix-It Crews for a Job Well Done
It was a whirlwind week for Enbridge Gas New Brunswick’s Fix it in 5 volunteers. Nine communities across New Brunswick had a fix-it crew in their midst between June 13th and 17th, completing fix-up projects at schools, community centres and SPCAs. Volunteers from each of the organizations selected for this year’s Fix it in 5 program joined Enbridge Gas New Brunswick employees to improve their community spaces so they can continue doing the important work they do.
“The amount of work accomplished by our fix-it crews last week was truly incredible,” said Dave Charleson, General Manager of Enbridge Gas New Brunswick. “We are very pleased with our first-ever Fix it in 5 initiative and we’re looking forward to continuing this program year after year.”
Project proposals were submitted to the Fix it in 5 website in May and were voted on by the community. The projects that received the highest number of votes in each community were selected for the week-long initiative. The organizations selected are really pleased with the work of the volunteers.
“What a great day, what a great crew and what great changes in such a short amount of time,” said Nanette Pearl of the Greater Moncton SPCA, one of this year’s Fix it in 5 organizations. “We are so happy to have been chosen by the community for this project.”
The other organizations that got a visit from this year’s fix-it crews were: the Lintuhtine Music Academy of Oromocto; École Mathieu-Martin in Dieppe; the Town of St. Stephen Boys and Girls Club; the Fredericton SPCA; St. George Elementary School; the Whitepine Baptist Church in Riverview; the Sackville Minor Baseball Association; and the Saint John Animal Rescue League.
“On behalf of Enbridge Gas New Brunswick, I would like to thank our fix-it crews for their hard work and dedication to this program and the organizations for taking the time to submit their online applications,” said Charleson.
