Fix it in 5 initiative to reach 9 communities in 5 days

Enbridge Gas New Brunswick employees are getting ready to roll up their sleeves for their first-ever Fix it in 5 community improvement initiative in each of the nine communities it serves. Between June 13and 17, employees and local volunteers will take on a special fix-up project voted on by each community.

“We’ve always been involved in our nine communities but, this year, we really wanted to take something on that we know is a real contribution to our service areas,” explains Dave Charleson, General Manager of Enbridge Gas New Brunswick.

A special website has been created where individuals or groups in the nine service areas can apply to have a project completed by the Enbridge Gas New Brunswick team and volunteers from that specific community. From there, project submissions will be uploaded to the website and people can vote on which project they want to see completed in their community.

“It’s a really interactive way to partner with the people in the areas we serve and freshen up some of the community spaces we enjoy,” said Charleson.

“We encourage as many individuals and groups as possible to submit an application and campaign to get people to vote once the project has been posted to the website.”

To qualify, projects must be able to be completed in one day by a team of up to 10 Enbridge Gas New Brunswick employees and community volunteers. All approved applications will be available for public viewing until May 15. The application in each community with the most votes will be awarded the project.
