Gilles Volpé Named One of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs
On May 9, 2019, Gilles Volpé, General Manager of Enbridge Gas New Brunswick was named one of Atlantic Canada’s 2019 Top 50 CEOs.
Volpé and the other almost-200 nominees for the Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEO Awards were judged according to their corporate, community and industry involvement, their company’s growth in recent years, and their responses to various managerial challenges.
“This is certainly a huge honour to be among these 49 other inspiring executives. This award is truly a reflection of my devoted, hardworking teams,” said Volpé. This is his second nomination and his first time being honoured with this distinction.
Volpé has successfully led Enbridge’s three affiliate gas utilities in New Brunswick, New York and Québec. He most notably led New Brunswick’s utility through a period of growth and transition, including a 19.3% growth in revenue, the successful negotiation of a 50-year franchise with the provincial government and the upcoming sale of the company to Liberty Utilities with a fresh mandate to invest in expanding New Brunswick’s energy choices.
Volpé’s accomplishments were announced and recognized at the formal red-carpet dinner and awards gala in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and are highlighted in the May/June issue of Atlantic Business Magazine along with the 49 other top leaders in 2019.
Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEO Awards is Atlantic Canada’s premiere business recognition event. Like the 20 years prior, the awards gave worthy individuals the recognition they deserve and used their examples to inspire other companies and business leaders to achieve similar success.
Please join his proud team in congratulating Gilles Volpé on this remarkable accomplishment!
