Natural Gas Supply In New Brunswick

FREDERICTON, March 30, 2010 - Enbridge Gas New Brunswick has signed a letter of intent with PetroWorth Resources Inc., which would result in the construction of a pipeline that would deliver natural gas from the gas fields, located south of Moncton, to Enbridge Gas New Brunswick's natural gas distribution system.  

PetroWorth Resources Inc. is one of two companies that has natural gas exploration and development rights to over 100,000 hectares of land south of Moncton.

Dave Charleson, general manager of Enbridge Gas New Brunswick, sees this as a positive opportunity for the natural gas industry in New Brunswick.

“Not only does it strengthen the security of natural gas supply, but it stimulates future exploration and development in the province. It’s proof that natural gas is here to stay as a clean and cost-effective energy solution in New Brunswick.”
