Volunteers Rolling up their Sleeves for Fix It In 5

Kids, animals and dedicated community members will all benefit from the nine fix-up projects taking place across the province this week. Volunteers involved in Enbridge Gas New Brunswick’s Fix It In 5 program are hitting the ground running in order to complete nine worthy community improvement projects in five days. The program was launched in May as an interactive way for Enbridge Gas New Brunswick to give back to the communities it serves.

“We are all really proud of this program,” said Dave Charleson, General Manager of Enbridge Gas New Brunswick. “The Fix it in 5initiative celebrates community spirit and helps us connect with our service areas like never before.”

Project proposals were submitted to the Fix it in 5 website in May and were voted on by the community members themselves. The projects that received the highest number of votes in each community were selected for the week-long initiative. They are:

Oromocto- “A breath of fresh air” Lintuhtine Music Academy of Oromocto

Dieppe- “Cour intérieure…exteriéure” Ecole Mathieu-Martin

St. Stephen- “Town of St. Stephen Boys and Girls Club”

Sackville- “Restore Baseball in Sackville (RBIs)” Sackville Minor Baseball Association

“It is fantastic to see our employees and members of the community come together to get some much needed community improvement work done,” added Charleson.
