Ways to Pay Your Monthly Natural Gas Bill:

Introducing a new Liberty My Account web portal!

This platform provides easy online access to account information and offers new self-service and payment options.

My Account Log In/Sign Up

Automatic Payments

Sign up and your monthly natural gas bill will be deducted automatically on the due date, directly from your bank account.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Businesses can pay their monthly natural gas bills electronically, without having to use paper cheques. To request this payment option, please call 1-800-994-2762 or email CustomerCareNB@libertyutilities.com

Make a one-time payment with a credit card

You can make a one-time payment using a credit card online by clicking here (starting October 19 debit card payments will be accepted). ATM Debit Card, Discover Card, Visa, Mastercard and now American Express are accepted. There is a convenience fee of 1.75% per transaction for Visa/Mastercard/Apple Pay/Google Pay and .75% per transaction for Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit. We do not profit from this fee. 

You can pay your bill through your Financial Institution in one of the following ways:

  • At your local branch
  • Automated Banking Machine *
  • Online Banking *
  • Telephone Banking *

* You will need to add Liberty as a payee. Consult your bill for your account number.

Automatic Payments

Liberty offers a worry-free way to pay your bill on time. Your monthly payment will be automatically deducted from the account of your choice so you never have to worry about missing a bill deadline.
 
If you are currently paying your bill electronically, or have an existing Paperless (E-bill) account with automatic payments, there is no need to take any action.

You can register for My Account, Liberty's online billing service, to see your latest and historical Liberty bills, your information, sign-up for paperless e-billing and more.

With the new My Account, you can:

  • View and pay your bill from the device of your choice, including your mobile phone
  • Find the mobile app by visiting either the Android Google Play Store or the iOS App Store (iPhone/iPad) and searching for "Liberty My Account"
  • Choose your account notification preferences – email or text message – and when you want to receive them
  • Sign up for Paperless which allows you to view and pay your bills securely online
  • Set up and manage automatic payments so you’ll never miss a payment
  • View your usage with easy-to-read graphs, helping you better control your usage and save on your next bill

Why does the gigajoule (GJ) conversion factor on my bill change all the time?

The GJ conversion factor of the energy content of the natural gas supplied to your business on a daily basis. Liberty uses a monthly average for billing purposes.

How is the delivery on my bill determined?

For commercial customers, a "cost of service method" is used. Using this method, distributing rates and charges

Liberty submits an application to the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board once a year. The purpose is to have an open and transparent regulatory process.
